This is a cross post from the incredibly magnanimous Pipe Giveaway thread, which is a little crowded thanks to the amazingly generous drawings being performed there. Therefore, allow me to isolate these pictures here in a dedicated thread. Again, profuse thanks to Alan Dye for these beautiful pipes. There's a Comoy's Grand Slam Bulldog, a Comoy's Billiard, and a lovely French bent egg of unknown origin. They all smoke beautifully!

That middle pic looks like a 50's Kaywoodie ad. Awesome score!

It will be worth the wait sir. What'll be your first blend in your new pipe? For me it was Brigadier Black Alamo and Frog Morton's Cellar.

I have been smoking a pipe for five years, one cob until about a year ago... and the briar collecting started. I am just now getting a few pipes CLOSE to as nice as the ones Mr Alan so generously gave away. The nicest pipes I own are gifts from awesome folks on here. I have said it before, and I will say it again... the nicest people I have met have all been from this forum. Enjoy those pipes!

First blend will be Three Oaks Syrian. Still no box today. The postman took my pink delivery slip but didn't leave the box! Looks like I'm going to have to go to the post office in person tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Indeed. I am usually more keen on tbe bents, but the length on that one really balances. (that's what she said)
