Prompted by Rider's great auction win, I thought I'd post my recent acquisition as well. I thought it was a decent price for what appears to be a very nice, smooth meer.

    My auction win.

That looks good - let us know how it smokes. Is it marked to identify the carver?

Nice looking calabash shape. It's coloring nicely too...looks to be decent quality block.
That one should be a great smoker.

Seems to be the perfect pipe to smoke an English blend in while catching up with The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Looks like an absolute steal! Well done, Carl!

Just got this beauty in yesterday! Ir's light, in pristine pre-smoked condition, and smoked a bowl of Bombay Court with absolutely lovely results.

Think you definitely scored with that one at the price - should be a joy to colour up - now me I wouldn't have been able to resist Christening it with Sherlock Holmes Mixture!

    Happy smoking!

Closest I had to Sherlock Holmes was Irish Oak, and I've been smoking that so much lately I needed a break!
