Went into the drawer for masonic inspection. Way in the back is a lid with what looks like GM scribbled on it.

What the hell is this? Open it up... brown shag, smells like a Virginia, sweet but earthy... some perfume maybe, but not really... hmmm. And then I remembered: It's Grousemoor! Hooray!

Perfect moisture, just springy. Packed up a big bowl and headed outside with the dog (he doesn't mind Grousemoor where the wife.... well, it ain't her favorite). This is nice stuff... not too strong, but it's there, lots of body, lots of smoke, hints of that sweetness, but it's almost more like port than perfume. Delish.

That sounds like an awesome surprise. How long do you think you've had that cellared?

I probably tucked that thing away 3 years ago.... I don't really even remember. It's been awhile.

Glad to know that others do this. I recently tinned up some tobacco, and labelled it "mix". I went back a day later and thought I better add MacB, vin 80 and 3/13. I'm trying to get better.

I meant to ask, what's a "masonic inspection"?

I love Grousemoor. I like the plug more than the shag though.

I have an ongoing mystery myself. It is a bulk G&H flake. It does not have much lakeland scent. I jarred it three years ago and put a piece of masking tape on the lid to write on. Now the masking tape is gone except for a small bit. I remember putting it up. Can't remember what it is. It is pretty damn good though.
