    This is the famous Jacque Cousteau,
    Looks like a peterson but im not sure, looking at the cut in the stem it looks like a mark twain but if the picture was taken in the 70's then its not a mark twain.

    I believe he'd just finished shooting a toothpaste commercial, and was smoking - what looks very much like a 'Dr. Plumb' 'Quintex' that I had around that time;)

    The Peterson Mark Twains were introduced in 1979, so there is a small window where there could be overlap. I'll bet that's what it is.

    When someone smarter than me makes an educated statement, it's my usual to nod my head and agree. With that being said, I agree with Jussto above. Yep,....sounds about right.

    Did the dr plumb have that same gap in the stem and shank?

    yes, and very much in the Peterson style, one or two appear on UK ebay.

    Well judging by the photo the color of the metal looks to be real sterling silver, so I say it's a Peterson.

    The plumb has a spigot style with metal on the stem and here you dont see any metal on the stem. its a mark twain. You can see a gap between the stem and the sterling so.
