This one arrived in the mail today, a new TRG Nosewarmer Pot. It is a very well made pipe, and has decent grain 360. The antler tamper was gratis.

    Hi All,

Very nice loooking little pipe and I wish you very many happy years with it. The Good Lord in his Infinite Wisdom having seen fit to issue me with a larger sized nose, this style has never worked for me, but I can appreciate nice work when I see it.

    Enjoy!

    Gerry

So you need a larger style nosewarmer to properly singe your nostril hairs? ;)

Gerry, your posts almost always give me a little chuckle.

To the OP, that is a sharp looking little pipe. Where did you get it from?

I got it from the maker, TRG Handcrafted Pipes, he is in Texas.

I don't know, Gerry. Seems like a nosewarmer would work out well for you with all of the rainy weather you have over there. No problems keeping it lit :groucho:

I like the look of it. How long is it?

Is the purpose of a nosewarmer just to be pocket sized? It makes sense but I was curious.

Length is 4.75 in. I used to steer away from short pipes, thinking they would smoke hot, but that is not the case at all. The temp of smoke from this, or a pipe an inch or so longer is just not noticeably different. I now have several nosewarmers. Nosewarmers are a popular size right now. I think as much for the look, ie short chunky, as anything else. They are a handy size though for when you are active, they don't get in the way.

That pipe is a looker. Congrats! I love short pipes--Savinelli has some good ones too.
