So, as i wrote here the other day in the threat where i asked about straight, bent etc pipes i went to town this week (today to be precise) i had my idea of what i wanted as a first choise (second choise whould have been a bent bulldog from peterson)

first i visited a smaller shop in another town, but there were´nt really anything the cought my eyes within my pricerange, but i bought a small straight pipe from a basket, and some Colts cherry tobacco, and a MacBaren Virginia Flake tin.

At FF-pipes on the other hand the display is much nicer (and the prices better) so after a while i turned my brain of and picked it up... It fitted my hand so extremely well, even better then i could imagine my brain got through and screemed that i could´nt afford it, but i did´nt care :)
So before i got my mind back together it was payed (about 197 dollars or 985 danish crowns).

Its a Stanwell H.C Andersen Mod. No 7

You guys and girls can guess what im about to do now, couse i wont be around to reply for a little while :bing:

Just finished my first halfbowl, and it was such a great smoker, even Sir ReLightALot did´nt have to relight a single time, the dryest and cool smoke (of course i had to start out with the long stem)
Even if it was a bit pricey, it might be a bargain :bing:

Wow, that's some smoking package! So glad you took so much of our good advice and I was able to enjoy your spending vicariously. May you and your offspring enjoy that pipe into the 22nd century.

My dad has an HCA and it's his favorite pipe. You just can't beat Stanwell's fit and finish, they are always spot on. That is a beautiful pipe you have there, enjoy it!

Well, i promise that the whole impression of Stanwells (even their seconds "Danske Club") look and feel like true quality, and soooooon im up on a nice little rotation of seven pipes (so far, 2 stanwells, 1 peterson, 1 cob and that straight "basketbargain" (thatone was´nt to bad, i might never love ot, but i do kinda like it :))

In a way yes =), but i guess it´s the bowl that limits how many days in a row it can be smoked =)

    Thank you =)

By the way, the small straight one from the discountbasket is marked with "CASTLE" on one side of the shank and "real briar" on the other side, is anyone familiar with those markings? :)

That's a real classy looking pipe and I'm sure that she smokes every bit as good as she looks!

You might regret a bargain pipe, you'll never regret a quality pipe. Four pipes on that beauty:bing::bing::bing::bing:
