My first ever bowl of Firedance Flake - in an MM Diplomat. So far my biggest issue is keeping it lit - it came bulk so I figured 30 min to dry, may revise that to an hour or two.

Just now got round to finishing off a bowl

More like dry overnight.....and then some! In a cob it can smoke wet and get away with it....the beauty of cobs ;)

It smokes right from bulk or tin but it takes repeated lights, quick ones and eventually you're going. It's a great flake! :)

That is EXACTLY how it went - lots of quick relights but it burns to a great fine ash and it was fabulous. I will take your advice on drying it longer and see how it goes. Definitely worth the effort though - great flavor not heavily aromatic and a great intro to SF flakes.

    Blackwoods Flake, cob.
I done run outta matches. Fortunately, I'm not particularly tidy, so I have a couple hundred sticks in the ashtray. Pickin' out the good ones and lighting them with my zippo to use for lighting the pipe :)

I'm finding it hard to get out of bed when it is cold. Didn't make it up until nine PM. Only thoughts of coffee and bowl go me out of the sack. Old Dublin in a cob with very strong hot coffee. The writing room is freezing as I must keep a window open to smoke. Dang how we suffer for art. :)

Oh yeah, I could shut the window if I didn't want to light the pipe. It's a choice but I still complain. Don't want to suffer in silence you know.:hbang:

The pup woke me up a little early this morning.. ugh!
Well it's the same mix as yesterday, some Dunhill EMP, in my Savinelli, some K-cup cappuccino on the side, while waiting for a full pot of java to brew.
