    Good Morning All,
I am smoking lightly crumbled Dark Star in a Sav Opera billiard with Costa Rican black coffee. Goes GREAT together!

    Happy Smoking,

I'm taking today off, and among the things I wanted to do was get some shots of a Mastro de Paja bent billiard to be put up here to trade for some tobacco. I started taking pictures and writing a description, noting the split saddle, lovely Pesaro heel and quirky blast and said to myself "why the hell would I want to get rid of this pipe?"[IMG]

So, I filled it with Astley's #44, and now I'm smoking the hell out of it.

Smoking blue note in my new Boswell. Not bad. Not quite what the hype led me to believe, but not bad. One thing JM clearly does exceedingly well is hand feel. I could never smoke this pipe but just hold it and be happy.

I love GH BBF#2. Thanks for reminding me. I will have to re-up.

C&D Adagio in the Trevi billiard.

I think it's my second smoke of the stuff. So far I really like it, though I do wish that once in a while I'd find a high quality American blend in a fine ribbon cut....seems C&D prefers mulch style cut....oh well, it's a fine blend regardless :)

Getting ready to light up some of the new Balkan Sobranie in a Dunghill.
The picture is of the latest LL Bean catalog. Note the pipe smoker! On the inside cover they say this is a photo from their 1933 catalog. -David
