    Had a nice cob full of Embaradaro this afternoon and TheDon full of Trinidad this evening, thats makes for a broad spectrum study, but somebodys got to do it.

    Update: So freakin' glad I dedicated one of my favorite pipes to Arcadia! Love this blend and love this pipe! Nirvana, friends; that's where I am right now.

    ND- Your selection sounds pretty darn good, too. ;)

    OldAtHeart - I've been wanting to try Arcadia. Isn't that the one that is supposedly Watson's favorite tobacco? I've heard it referenced a good bit, s it looks like I'll have to pick up a tin.

    Blue Note is a really good tinned aromatic. I won't lie - I originally found it because I'm a big Miles Davis fan. As it turns out, Blue Note in the Meer with some espresso is a great way to wake up before class.

    ND- I was honestly thinking of suggesting Arcadia in your thread about English blends, but I second-guessed myself. It is everything I love about English tobaccos, without all the latakia to get in the way. I would consider it a great transition into the world of English. Perhaps that's why I love it so much. I really enjoy English, but I'm not enamored with latakia the way some folks are.

    I, too, was first drawn to Blue Note because I am such a fan of jazz. I was hesitant to try it because I had recently grown weary of aromatics; I was an avowed Virginia convert at that point. When a much older/experienced coworker of mine (at the local Tinderbox), who was also a strict VA smoker, tried and liked a sample from our first shipment of the stuff, I took the plunge. It's one of the only aromatics I still really enjoy. I think that's because the flavoring shares the stage with the tobacco flavor instead of masking it.

    From where you are (as far as I can gather), giving Arcadia a try could be a very good move for you. I would do it alongside a latakia blend, but still, try arcadia. If you don't like it, I'll buy the rest of the tin from you.
