Smoking a new OTC blend mix I put together today in a Grabow saddle bit billiard. A pretty interesting flavor profile. Thanks Brian a.k.a. Bri2k.

been smoking PA in my billiard all day to see how it would deal with a wet pipe. pipe is still about as damp as it would be after one bowl of a gawith flake tobacco. i'm impressed. not a mindblowing smoke, but good, and cheap, burns well enough too.

my only beef with the stuff is i can smoke a pipe that normally takes me an hour and a half in 25 min.

oh, and i last my damn tobacco pouch today :bing:

Hope you find your pouch Dubhdarra, I usually smoke between 12 and 15 bowls in the same pipe in the same day all the time, no problems noted here and yes, OTC burleys seem to burn down quickly.

Started off with SWR in my little Grabow Grand Duke apple. Then I remembered that the apple always burns too hot and never stays lit. So I abandoned that and dug out my Yello-Bole Checker. Then I fished out a pouch of SWRA that I bought months ago. And I am loving it. I keep getting chocolate and coffee from it, and I don't know why. But I am definitely loving it.

In less than a half bowl, it just replaced Captain Black as my favorite OTC.

Found a tin of Peterson University Flake I opened 6 months ago! Not stored well still in the tin and "Dry as old Harry!" Am smoking 50:50 mix with a new tin of FVF. Just smoked a bowl in a London made budget pipe. Lasted an hour, in the sunsine, on a lovely Spring morning, birds singing, absolutely no planes flying over head (thank you Iceland!). It was a wonderful smoke and life doesn't get much better [IMG]
