LBF in a small pete. I put this pipe away after only a few smokes when I first got it and have just gotten around to smoking it again. Its still got the nasty new Peterson taste in it. You'd think such a large and well established pipe maker could find a way to not make their pipes taste like ass for the first dozen smokes.

GL Pease Montgomery in a sampler Sav. Can you say Worcestershire sauce?
This was my first bowl of this stuff. Hopefully, the other half that
I'm DGTing will give something different.

    C&D Strathspey in a Celtic 69.

figured it's finally time for me to taste a "classic Scottish blend"
the latakia and turkish are certainly up front and brassy
cavendish makes up the rest of the blend, which I found a bit too mellow
then I started to taste the scotch whisky casing during the snork
and I figured, good thing the blend was mellow, or I would have missed it! :beerhat:

Barako - you will certainly be loving this one! I'll set some aside for ya.

smoked another bowl of Strathspey in an Aran 69... this is one blend which has got so much of its flavor in the snork!

earlier, had a bowl of IRC Balkan Supreme in a St Pat 69... twas an awesome reminder of why this blend ranks a "10" in my book

Not as excited as Goose above, maybe because I'm only smoking Prince Albert in a Falcon.

As mentioned earler, DGT'd bowl of GLP Montgomery.
Meh...At least I have half a pound of US. To get
more taste, I dumped the remnants and loaded my
Sav 602 up with HV. That's a bit better! Have to
revisit Montgomery to see if I'm overlooking something.

:drink2: I know, just haven't tasted these before and wondered what other's saw in them as they seem to be popular. flavor isn't that bad although nothing to rave about, but it lacks what we experience in our favorite single malts, they are very simple, almost no body, palate is harsh and finish is abbreviated, just keeping my mind open and experiencing other things :phew:
