Love the cob! I wonder how it'd work if the stem out of the bowl was Bamboo? Any thoughts?
    Why is the sky blue?
    How did I get here?.........

A Bit of C&D Strawberry cavendish in a pride cob.

That would have made the smoke all the sweeter in my opinion. I bet she thinks that Jack Bauer is real because she saw him on TV, just as she takes all the anti-smoking ads as pure fact.

    Anywaaay...

Curing a new Meerschaum with Davidoff English. It is pretty much the only use I have for this tobacco, but it does the task excellently.

Bamboo would have a greater tendency to split whereas the oak does not. Jake would have to put a "ring/collar" around the end of the bamboo shank and that'd up the price several dollars. It oak shank matches my other Hackerts so I'm happy with her/them.

Solani Silver Flake in my new Hackert Freehand.....talk about a match made in heaven! I wanted to load up another bowl and bring it in the house to smoke (maybe the garage!) but I don't smoke in the house....I'll be in the garage dear! Iced h20.

The wife just left for work, sooooo.....some Squadron Leader in a mini-meer. I've got all day to air out the house! Some (sigh) decaf coffee on the side. Now how come I can smoke Black XX Rope without incident, but even a small bit of caffeine makes me giddy? Weird.

I didn't say a TON of XX without incident.... ;)

Caffeine never effected me before, but I'm glad I know it is it, and not pipe 'baccy. I was worried for a while as I figured it out. So now, it's decaf coffee or a good tea with my morning bowl. No biggie!

McClelland Blackwoods Flake in my Hackert Freehand. That combo should last me through midday!

    Good morning all...
It's GLP Tribute from '01 in the Eagle meerschaum to start this sad day. Will NOT be watching all the sensationalist journalism on the telly today, but will continue with the Tribute through-out....in memory.
