Sorry for the double post. :dunno:
Frpg Morton in a swell old Arlington.
Busy day here...finally got a pipe this afternoon....FMOTT in the Bear's Den wild thing and a Dr. Pepper. Now home and relaxing with Fairmorn's Sterling Balkan in the Carey freehand and another DP.
Afternoon bowls were:
Rattrays 7 in a Tinsky Christmas Pipe, iced h2o.
A "Puffait" of Solani ABF under Stonehaven and topped with more ABF in another Tinsky.......that was good but gave me a "hit o'nic" but not too badly, iced h2o.

Morning guys, start the day with #222 Flake in a WOL Dublin. Coffee on the side.
GLP Abingdon in a Dunhill patent shell 660, Coke zero on the side.
started the day with Deacon's Downfall in a Celtic 69.... now looking to mellow out with Davidoff Danish in an Aldo Morelli
Granger in my old Yello-bole
IRC British Full in an Aran 69!
H&h classic burely in Peterson 409. Hot coffee and everclear on the side. Everclear is for the pipes.
#222 Flake in a handmade Nording bent ball.
"Sportsman" by Milan in my MM cob.
I totally thought you were getting a REALLY early start on getting blitzed today.
PS BS in a Falcon
Smoked a bowl of Smyrna #1(in a Falcon) while push-mowing this morning...if others can do it, I thought so could I. Nope. Makes for a good case on getting a riding mower, though.
Red Cake in the oft-abused mini-meer...sweet tea chaser.
Trying C&D Black Duck in a Tinsky... but getting really bad tongue/lip bite from this blend.
PA/PS Cube Cut Burley in a Bradberry Prince.
Burt's Blend (JFH house blend) in the Pioneer straight bulldog meerschaum...the usual Dr. Pepper.
a.m. bowl was:
Reiner LGF in a Jake Hackert Nosewarmer (briar), hot coffee.
p.m/ bowl was:
Solani Silverflake in a Preben Holm, spicy V-8.
Comparo between these two Va-Bur-Per vs. a Va-Bur was awesome back to back. Both burners performed flawlessly but the toby was what I really gotta comment on. I like 'em both. Each a touch different. Both to gray ash (ssf to whiter ash) but the flavors were each different in their own way. RLGF was an extremely well balanced blend of the 3 and smoked that way down to the bottom whereas the SSF sort of faded in and out with a spicy note on occasion while the Va & Bur danced throughout the song (must have been the Va's spicy notes stealing me away)......ymmv.

Been working on a bowl of H&H Anniversary Kake for about 3 hours... its in a GIANT Ardor... a great way to enjoy an excellent baccy.
Escudo in my Hackert Freehand...vodka and coke on the side.
