Hard white frost here in Bonnie Scotland this morning - Benson and Hedges Mellow Virginia in a Falcon - the sharp cold air brought out the taste of this sweet virginia beautifully,

    Morning,

Went back into the stash and found a bag of classic burley kake. I don't even remember buying it. It is good. Nice mildly sweet taste with just a touch of vanilla.

Earlier ... a Yenidje Supreme in a Ser Jacopo Bent Apple... Really liking the Supreme... subtle but tasty now that it is drying some.

Just now finished some Stogie in an old meer that I was trying to fix up for somebody. I had to replace the stem and get the bowl reamed enough to open the air passage... :startle: ... I was a little suspicious of a damaged area along the side... and my fears were realized. It is a pinhole into the bowl... so much for continuing the restoration....

    Hi All,

Another morning with hard frost and snow on the hills to the north - so another day kicked off with B&H's Mellow Virginia in a Facon with a pot of strong English Breakfast tea on the side.

Sorry too to hear about the meer and its pinhole - can it be fixed at all?

    Best as ever

Captain Earle's Private Stock in a Tinsky biliard... my first bowl of this wonderful stuff! :bing:

It's described as a blend of eight natural tobaccos, but so well blended that one can taste the latakia, and once in a while, a hint of the virginias, cavendish, and turkish as well... doesn't seem to be any perique in there.

I smoked this right after bowl of C&D Da Vinci, a mid-bodied English, and my first thought on summing up Private Stock was... wow, this is an espresso compared to the other English blends that taste like drip coffee.

I'm enjoying my last day of vacation with an after-breakfast pipe of home-blended "Cherry Cobbler" in a Kaywoodie canadian, Coca-Cola on the side.
