Since I've bagged up the last of my Black Cherry Cobbler kitchen sink blend for Deke, I'm having some Black Cherry Kentucky Club kitchen sink blend in this cheesy ebay Yello Bole briar billiard, livin' large with Hawaiian Punch on the side.

Took some SG Firedance flakes (courtesy of a generous forum member!), cut them up into cubes, dried them till almost crunchy, then poured them into a St. Pat 69.

Nice sweet tasting smoke as to be expected from an all-virginia blend. Slight vanilla flavor, with the occasional blueberry hint in the snork. Pleasant room aroma. all in all, not bad for the first smoke of the day.

Huh....I was outside smoking Firedance earlier...(in a windstorm, no less)...I kept getting a 'blueberry-ish' cotton candy thing going on. Much more intriguing than previous bowls...('course, I stuffed a flake for a first, too.)

Irish Flake in the Falcon...some sweet tea to accompany.

yeah I was worried that drying it till almost crisp was going to result in some loss of flavor... will try smoking the other flakes more moist!

moved on to C&D Da Vinci in my Brebbia Ninja 301. still breaking it in, but already I can tell that the toby is smoking much better than in my other pipes (mostly biliards where where the ratio of chamber.diameter-to-chamber.height is roughly 0.50)

I'm pretty much sold on the notion that "square-chamber" pipes are much better for tasting the english and balkan blends, and am planning on getting three more pipes where the ratio of chamber.diameter-to-chamber.height is 0.70 or more! :bing:
