Wife on her way home with the kids, so I'm enjoying my last indoor pipe for a while...

Tinderbox (blend of Wilshire, Aalborg, and North Sea) in my new Sas!, black coffee on the side.

When done, windows open and candles lit. (She'll still probably notice).

Just heading for my third pipe of the day. I am SICK of that stupid balsa filter, so I'm firing up the Savinelli Anni without the sponge. Got her Franked up with Butternut Burley and it is already noticeably better than with the filter. It's the draw. The filter cuts the airflow too much. (Wish I didn't have so many of those things. Maybe I can build a little sculpture in a bottle or something.)

Yep. Burned every scrap with NO problems. The big bore stem wasn't nasty, no gurgle or weirdness. Goodbye balsa.

    Happy new year folks!

Currently smoking an 8 lb Boston butt :eek:hyeah:

Oh yeah and some PA in a cob. Finally have some decent smoking weather. I hate that my new place requires me to smoke out in the cold.

Only one hour or so left on the pork (been cooking since 3:30AM) and I can't wait to dig in.

Been fighting the (sadly) usual headaches this botched eye surgery has seemed to cause...managed to finish a DGT of FVF in a Stanwell earlier, decided to futz with a block of PPP now...about to head out with it in a Pete System 314...drinking a Camo Black XXXXX 12% 24ozer on the side...(don't imagine I'll be awake, or care, about the new year, so I might as well get my mini drink on while I can.)

Sorry to hear the eye surgery is still causing you problems Kyle. I hope you have a Happy New Year anyway.... and a HNY to everybody else also!

Stogie in a Pete Bent Bulldog. I don't own a Pete... a friend was having trouble with this guy and asked me to take a look at it... opened the draw... used an insert to correct a very bad mortise/air passage alignment... and corrected a whistling stem... seems to be smoking right dandy now...

Spent all day in Denver today and swung by a toby shop there I hit everytime. I found a tin of Escudo and have been dying to try it since I started pipe smoking. It seems like everytime someone mentions 5 people blow a warm and sticky one. I just got home and fired it up...now I know why! Can you buy it in bulk?!
