No, you are just easily swayed by peer pressure. Dumbass. :eek:hyeah:

(My TR review was a clever ruse to get you to try it. Now you'll buy it by the pound, giving the manufacturer just cause to increase production. Extra production means more availability, which means I can hoarde it with impugnity. My plan is coming together nicely. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!)

And, just to rub it in, I think it's only a three star blend!!!

    (It's good to be evil.)

Earlier was H&H Ambassador (a gift from a fellow PSFer) in a falcon dover, now followed by the same blend in an Aran 69. This blend is quite similar to Wilderness. Just a bit more sour, like a bbq sauce that's got a touch more vinegar...(my guess is there's more cyprian latakia in ambassador, and no syrian latakia). Otherwise, the appearance, room note and pouch aroma are almost the same! :bing:

Feeling a little adventurous, so one-half bowl of the local blend "Statesman." I'm not sure what's in it. I'd call it an aromatic. It started out fruity then went even farther downhill. AppleCherryCavendish up front, finishing with HalfPastClosingTimeCamelStraightsOverflowingInTheAshtray flavors.

Mmmm. Makes me want a cigarette. Oh wait, no, I feel like I've just smoked a whole pack of some of those bastardized flavored things from Nat Sherman. The old guy at the B&M said (five months ago) this is one of their most popular blends. Damn you, jpberg, you've ruined me for all the good pipe tobaccos by feeding me crappy, odious English things reeking of latakia and orientals. How dare you!

Seriously, I guess this stuff isn't "bad," but I sure wouldn't call it "good" by my current standards. On the up side, no tongue bite and it had a bit of a nic hit. If anyone wants a free 1.5oz of "Statesman" shoot me a PM with your name and address; I'll cover postage. Otherwise, this jar is going deep into the nether reaches of the "cellar" with a new label--"Does Not Play Well With Others."

Oh, and now I'm having an Irish Tea (lapsang souchong) just to kill the flavor. Well, maybe not 'just'...

The GAF was good (and also the Founders Double Trouble).
Time to have some Sugar Barrel in my Jobey Fawn, paired nicely with some Founders Imperial Stout. Yum!
