Krumble Kake in a Luciano Rhdoesian. All the good English flavor of Penzance... without the harshness.

But then again, sometimes I like harsh! :bing:

    Good Morning,

Aging is a weird thing, Dondi. To my taste buds, KK is muddier, saltier, and a bit harsher than Penzance when both are fresh from a new tin, but I think the KK, for some reason, mellows a lot more over time than Penzance.

    DGT'd some Sidewinder in the
meer for the drive home from
    work. Now I'm nibbling on
    cashews and drinking scotch.

    BTW, Sidewinder is a blend
    of 50% IRC King's Oriental,
and 50% Sail Green. Try it!

The weather is miserable again today, unseasonably frigid, blustery and with the high humidity and intermittent precipitation that conspired to make smoking all but impossible yesterday. On Gerry's advice (aka falconeer) I took out the GH dark flake (scented) in a BBB own make 667, one of my consistently driest smokers, along with a thermos of hot, strong irish breakfast tea. between those and the duffel coat, scarf, thick aran sweater and wellies, the day is quite nearly tolerable.

Right now I'm having Samuel Gawith Full Virgnia Flake for the first time. Very nice indeed. Also using my latest pipe purchase (although a couple months old now), but I have no idea what the make is. XD

Well, I finally get a chance to post what I enjoyed today.

Started with 2 DGT's, both in my rusticated Vauens, both half bowls leftover from two days ago - Black Magic Woman, and Whiskey Biscuit Gravy. Both DGT'd well, though I sadly lost some of the intense end-of-bowl raspberry flavor from the BMW I look forward to.

Next I finished the final offering from a tin of Town Topic in my Design Berlin Mariner.

Onto a satisfying bowl of Tastemaster in my SMS lattice meer. I had to DGT the second half around seeing a client in Sioux Falls.

For the drive home, I finished the TT, followed it with some Middleton's Apple in a new MM Diplomat, then loaded up some Orlik Golden Sliced in my GBD estate - first successful 'fold and stuff' of this flake in my GBD!!

I so rarely get to enjoy so many nice bowls in a day, and I feel really mellow and even tonight because of it. Each smoked well, and fit the events of my trip.
