Boswell's Premium Burley in my Ben Wade pot. I'm not typically much of a burley smoker, but this sample I got from a friend might change my mind. Nice, easy, no muss / no fuss kinda smoke. I think some Burley may find it's way into my regular rotation.

CAO Flavours - Caramello Joe Tubo

this little stick is well packed with long fillers, but the narrow ring gauge can result in too tight a draw in the first part of the smoke. About halfway through the smoke it is behaving much better. I think a full sized corona might be better for this, or else if they'd make it mixed filler. That said it is sweet and quite tasty, a nice little treat and a good alternative to an aromatic pipe tobacco (though I'm sure the room note wouldn't be as good as with a pipe tobacco, but that isn't unexpected)

Smoked two bowls of Special Latakia Flake... first in a Peterson Rosslare 69 then in a Peterson St. Pat's 69.

Much more interesting flavors (compared to smoking them in the wide-chambered rhodesian), the orientals were quite dominant. For the second bowl, I tried adding some blending latakia, and I think I overdid it! :bing:

    Good Morning,
Penzance in a Squatch. The jar I took this from was sealed in 2003, it's really a completely different smoke than even a 3 or 4 year old batch. Any edge that was ever there is gone, just a really smooth, sweet, almost gentle smoke.

SWR in a Grabow Royal Duke. I once called SWR 'hard to keep lit', now I'm wondering if that was a consequence of a damp pouch and a very narrow-chambered cob. The pouch has been open for more than a month and the tobacco is drier than Spaulding Gray's wit, and this is my first attempt with it in a briar (albeit my worst one.) SWR is more appealing to me now. I see another pouch or even a tub in my future.
