So after responding to Beale's thread on PSLBF, I went rummaging through the jar I keep baggies of samples in looking to see if I still had enough of that to constitute a bowl (not really, only scraps), but I did stumble upon an unmarked baggie of similar looking coins (about three, plus leavings) and remembered that my buddy gave me some Davidoff Flake Medallions to try a year or so back. I smoked a bowl at the time, and went ahead and got a tin, but that's now gone, so this is kind of an unexpected treat. In the Bari Wiking.

You'll be a regular all-day smoker if you don't put a stop to this, Herb :P

I'm already one of those, I'm just not smoking the right thing most of the time. Working on that, though.

Well if you ever do go to Burley and the Briar, treat yourself to any of the Peter Stokkebye rolling tobacco. Best quality cigarettes I've ever had.

If you're not talking about cigarettes, then either don't let the man get you down, or seek help, depending on what you mean haha

Definitely cigs, not the other. I'm sure that the Stokkebye rolling tobacco is as good as their other stuff, but I'm not a RYO kinda guy. While I can respect someone who does it for reasons of quality, the people who do it because they're cheap are screwing us pipe smokers. I went into a discount smoke shop for a pack of Camels yesterday, and they had just got a huge shipment of cases marked "pipe tobacco", including some marked "menthol". I had to bite my tongue, because these jackwagons are just going to get the oppressive cigarette tax extended to legitimate pipe tobacco. Screw them. Let 'em smoke banana peels or fight to reduce the tax rather than trying to game the system at our eventual expense. I pay my bloody cigarette tax when I buy that kind of tobacco.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen, our flight has now arrived in Cuba and this hijacking is over. ;)

Well...no, nevermind, I'll just start ranting.

But you could save money AND get factory-quality construction in your cigarettes made with better tobacco getting one of the crank machines rather than the sliding injectors. Just a thought, but probably a bad one if you're trying to cut back.

Yeah, I really don't need anything to make cigarette smoking fun or enjoyable. Maybe I should switch to generics or something. That'll put me off for sure. :puke:

L&M aren't awful quality, but they're loosely constructed so you pay less for less tobacco and shorter smokes. If nothing else if you don't start smoking more to get more, you'll save a little bit of smoke going into your lungs.
