Getting ready for a week of travel. Wasn't planning to smoke today, but some Loreena McKennitt (A Night at Alhambra DVD) and some Irish Whiskey changed that.

C & D Buffalo Soldier and the great smokin Golden Royal billiard, most excellent.

Smoked Dunhill Light Flake in a Yanik last night. Newer version. I hadn't smoked any for decades, as I wasn't too impressed with it back then. Either it's better now or my tastes have changed. Still not a reference blend but I like the way they offset the citrus flavor with some earthiness to keep it from being Erinmore Jr.

Nice to have biases overcome once in awhile.

Mac B Virginia no. 1 in a cob... first bowl of it. Pretty darn tasty. Can't wait to smoke a bowl later on tonight with a cold one.

I'll have to break open my tin of this now. Thanks troy! :csmile:

IF in the mini Shelton. Perfect pipe for this as it holds
one flake perfectly! Stinger keeps it cool and dry.

Autumn grey and cold like my soul in this freezy morning. Lot of work to do. Wife has business meeting in Denmark ("no, I have no time to buy any pipe tobacco") and children mourning food and money all the time. I scratch my old Honda and - of course - brand new Volvo in markets P-hall. Maybe Mac Baren Vanilla Cream makes some Pollyanna moving in my mind.

Yess! Rain is over. Peace of mind is a fact. Children are at school, breakfast was fine and healthy. Stanwell Nordic smoked all right. This is a good day to live again!
