Now that I'm done putting fresh wax on her, lighting up my horse Meer with McB Vanilla Creme Flake
Hamborger Veermaster in my 1985 Dunhill Briar Shell. Yum
I have a conference call tonight, so I'm setting out a flake of SG Navy Flake to dry for a bit before the call starts.
McConnell's Scottish Cake in the Dunhill.
What can I say? In a VA mode with the Dunhill tonight.
Steppin' out to have some of my grandad's blend in a cob that Puff gave me.
My first crack at Dunhill Royal Yacht in a Ben Wade pot. Though it's spelled Royal Yacht, it's pronounced "throatwarbler mangrove".
Whoo. This is some strong stuff.
Mr. Luxury Yacht would be proud.
What's it like? I hear it has an odd topping. Would it be in the same ballpark as something along the lines of Erinmore flake or something?
The Haunted Bookshop was a very nice smoke. Now I'm taking some Camel Snus...the "winterchill" or whatever the heck they call the wintergreen flavor. Don't know why they can't just call it wintergreen.
Wish it were General, but Camel and Marlboro are all I know how to find anymore
It is a bit of an odd flavor, and after one bowl I can't really say what it was. It had a fairly spicy thing to it, though I don't know if it has Perique in it, snd I haven't had Erinmore so I can't comment on that.
Reigel's has a whole little fridge (?) full of General Snus. Whatcha like?
Well, I'm partial to white portion, wintergreen, and original portion. Basically I've not tried the loose (don't care to) and I don't like the mint. Other than that, I'm a fan. Good stuff for when you can't or don't want to smoke a pipe and want to avoid smoking cigarettes. I'm gonna be bummed when the weather gets even worse
Erinmore is overtly fruity, but it's near impossible to identify the fruit in question. There's some other stuff going on there too, a subtle spiciness. It sort of tastes like the underflavors of a good German hefeweizen....banana, bubblegum, clove....kind of. Some people compare it to juicy fruit apparently. I guess I could say in short it tastes "estery" with a bit of mixed-fruit but nothing too definite.
I need to smoke another bowl or two in different pipes to know for sure. The spice was the most distinctive thing coming through this time.
That's an excellent description of Erinmore. I haven't gone near Royal Yacht because all the Dunhill tobacco I've tried has knocked me on my ass, and a Dunhill that has a reputation for knocking people on their asses.... I just couldn't take it, no way.
Tonight smoking a mixture of Ramsgate and WO Larsen Kentucky Gold. Boring and sweet meets raw and spicey - not a bad blend.
P&W 400 in a Squatch.
GAF in a cob. Awesome first thing in the morning.
Yesterday was Sterling's current Bargain Blend out of a MM Pride. Think I'm going to start today with Sterling 1776 Tavern out of my bent Billiard.
Old Joe Krantz in my Stanwell billiard, black coffee on the side
GH Bright CR Flake in a Calabresi bent pot, coffee along side.
2 coins of Escudo in a straight, smooth Dublin. I don't care for straight pipes and I don't care for smooth pipes but any pipe that holds 2 coins and smokes very well is not all bad......
Timm's No Name Gold, a non aro Flake, in an Orlik Turbo. The stem is of the screw-in type.
Now smoking...a 8lb chicken, over a hickory fire. Some call it cooking, but I believe this is cremation! Oy.
Oh, and a bowl of Solani Sweet Mystery X in a meer. I believe the mystery is solved...the flavor is hickory.
Burley leavins' in a MM Dane Egg
