I am a big fan of OGS, but I have only ever bought the 50g tins. I am thinking of picking up a 100g tin, and recalled that instead of the rectangular flakes, it is one long, coiled flake. Are there any pros/cons to this?...

    Also, how awesome is OGS?...

Can't answer your first question as I've only had the 50g tins.

I can answer the second. Pretty stinking awesome.

As much as I like to support my local B&M, I cannot by my OGS there. He charges $13 +tax for a 50g tin. I can get a 100g tin shipped to me free from CI for less than that...

Yup, OGS is pretty awesome! I only have the 100g tin, but I think the rectangular flakes of the 50g tins would be better. With those you can fold and stuff, rub it out, or cut it up and fill. With the long flake of the 100g tin, rubbing it out is pretty much your only option...at least, that's all I've been doing.

I suppose I could take it out of the tin, and cut it into the flakes. Although, I pretty much rub all of my flakes out. Ive tried them every which way, but I have found fully rubbed out is the way for me. I fold the flake up as small as it will go, and roll it into a ball between my palms...gives you a nice, light and fluffy tobacco that burns great, and tastes great...

Yeah, I find I get better flavour when I rub it out flake tobaccos, but it's nice to have the option. :D

I actually tried cutting it into a flake first when I got it, and it didn't work so good. I've just stuck to rubbing it out!

Just pull some up - and tear it off, no sweat!, and if you're a "big fan" - you'll know "how awesome":)

Pardon my ignorance, but what is OGS? I know its a tobacco based on the posts and I tried searching but found nothing. I must be doing something wrong.

I have both and would rather the 50g tin, but I'm in 100g tin now and she still smoke great. I think OGS is one of the most underrated blends out there. It's the workhorse of flakes....
But tastes nothing like horse meat.

    Shipped free?
Is there a secret other than to combine it with the Daily Deal?

CI always ships free... even for one tin... might take a bit longer than average to receive.

I've only had the 100g tin. It's perfect to tear off a chunk and cannonball it. Moisture was perfect right out of the tin. Probably the easiest time I've ever had packing ANY tobacco.
