Based mainly on the positive reviews by PSF. Mike is very responsive and great to do business with! Here are a couple of pics of the pipes: the first one is a medium saddle billiard with some decent flame grain (Deluxe model) and the second is a large Dublin showing some flame grain in their Aristocrat budget line. Will let you know how they smoke ASAP.

Afraid I'm not seeing any evidence of their actually existing . . .

I'm not seeing them either, but I'll take your word for it.

Congratulations on the pipes. I have one Blakemar, very well made.

Those are sweet furious, seems you like the classic designs as well. Nice straight-forward website for Blakemar's as well. Very nice choices !

Thanks, John. Yes, I am a big fan of the classics. Most of my collection is estate English. When I saw Blakemar's website and Mike's youtube videos, I had to pull the trigger. High quality craftsmanship from a bygone era.

Took delivery today and they look great. Will fire up the deluxe tonight with some Penzance.

Frankly, prior to this thread, I'd never heard of Blakemar. Went to their site. Do they smoke as good as they look? If so, I'm ordering. Any input would be appreciated.

Blakemar are great - I bought an XL Champion billiard as a Christmas present to myself and it is one of my two favourite pipes. I'm heading to see Mike next week and hopefully expand the collection.

Yes they do. I have a squat bulldog and a square billiard and both are excellent smokers. Excellent value too.

Do you know if he makes pipes for other vendors? Do pipes leave his shop with someone else's stamp on them?

I just went and checked out their website. They're certainly reasonably priced and good looking to boot! I may be in the market for some of their stuff in the near future!

    Good score for sure!!

Well, I am smoking my Aristocrat Dublin right now and have absolutely no complaints! She is smoking cool, dry, with a nice open draw.
