Such a nice va-per-cav! Always been a fav of mine and a go to when i'm trying to figure out what to smoke next. I've been playing around with different loads or load styles with this versatile flake. My best smokes come from this loadup. Load the bowl with the vaper. Use the cav disk (finely crumbled) as the fire dust to top off. Nice bold burst of sweet/tangy black cav at the start and the bowl continues down slowly becoming a vaper finish. Sort of a three course meal! The aperitif, the main course, the sweet desert finish! Yummmmmmm :)

I like it... not as much as some other things that Ed has introduced me to, but enough that I have a pound of it in the cellar.

Ed I agree. Had a bowl of this earlier this week that had been in the jar for over a year. The whole disk was black. Wonderful!

This is great stuff. I like to gently loosen the disks the fold three together and stuff them into a flake pipe. Smokes cool for a long time and the flavor is excellent. I've got a pound of this stuff cellared and I can't wait to see what a little bit of age does to it. :D

Sounds good, I've had LNF and love it, so I would imagine LBF would be good as well.

I smoke a lot of LBF & LNF. Both are outstanding!

I wish I liked it as much as y'all. Throw the cavendish away, and it's ok...otherwise...meh.

As soon as I can come up with the money to spare I'm ordering a full block (1.5 lb) of LNF, it's outstanding!

LBF is tasty stuff. recently got a 1.5# order in, jarred it up and left some out for smoking. It won't stay in the cellar long that's for sure.

One of my favorites. I have a few pounds of this stuff in my cellar. Like you, it's my go to when nothing else seems to strike my fancy.

I have a question. How pronounced is the perique in this blend. I've heard you guy rave about it but I am leery of perique blends. A little is OK but a lot burns me up.
    Thanks, Brian

To me LNF has just enough Perique in it to keep it from being like a straight VA, it's not overpowering at all, but YMMV.

Not very prominent but i smoke Escudo, DNR, Anni Kake, BF#3(a bunch of perique in that one!) and feel both LBF and LNF have similar amounts perceived which is low but noticable and blends very well with the va or va-cav.
