    Hi everyone,

Im noticing that the Peterson year pipes all have the 9mm filter option. Why are they doing this on their year pipes ? I find it weird that all other lines that they bring out dont have the 9mm filter.

The ones in the US - at least the ones at smokingpipes - dont have the filters

Yes, filters are much more popular in Europe. Peterson makes both filtered and unfiltered versions of many of their pipes for the different markets.

Peterson drills all their pipes to take a 9mm filter. In the US the stems are made without regard to it, but all the european production have 9mm sockets in the stem. Makes basically no difference in how well the pipe smokes.

Yupyup, Europe is Peterson's largest market and the 9mm pipes are much more popular there.
