So, thanks to Ivycap sending me 17 different tobacco's in my newbie sampler :thumbsu: , I decided to stop by the local B&M and see if they had any cobs. They did, so I picked up a couple, so I could enjoy all of these great blends. Already filled one up with a bowl of Presbyterian Mixture, and smoked it on the deck with the dog. Prestty impressive how well that cheap little pipe smoked. :goodjob:

No No No! It's NOT "hog heaven", it's "COB HEAVEN"! Get your terms straight! :thumbsu: Congratz on the batch o'baccy and the new cobs. They're incredible pipes and you done yourself quite the favor by getting a couple. Enjoy, 'cause I predict you've got more good times ahead!

A cheap cob, after you burn it out a bit with 5-6 smokes, can be a great pipe. I never found that english blends do that well in a cob but, virginias, vapers and, esp., burleys seem to shine. Hope you enjoy yours.

Agreed. Also, on the cobs, they'll last quite a while for your small investment. Great little pipes.

Out of curiosity, what cob models did you pick up? All the same or a mixed bag? It would be interesting to know which shapes you prefer if you've got a few different ones.

Mixed bag. Mostly smaller pipes so I can sample tobaccos.
