We're beginning to look alike, Lestrade! Scary!
I think I may suffer from whippersnapper syndrome
I used to -- but I grew out of it.
I literally spent about twenty minutes trying to think of a clever retort. I got nothing. I kept trying to think of a whammy bar joke, but it always broke the metaphor and conjured images of some bizarre auxiliary appendage.
Now my Strat is reminding me of a mutant wang. Thanks, Herb.
Maybe I'll just stick to the Danelectro (4-string) for tonight
I'm proud because BOTH pipes used to be mine.
YUP! 2 of my top 5 favs! Thanks DP!
ok so it's not a pipe at the moment, but a San lotano connecticut Churchill
Can I just say, I was looking on Bing under image search for a pic to use as an avatar... I typed in "old man smoking a pipe" and clicked image without the safe search. I was pretty surprised what came up. Not that there's anything wrong with that- not judging anyone. I was just startled for a sec. I guess I've always heard about the pipe/ cigar smoking bear thing- just glad I wasn't sitting in a coffee shop.
Image searches are the biggest porn sites on the web. Even 'safe-search' doesn't catch everything. There was a contest on a tech site once trying to see which most innocuous sounding search would produce porn as the first result. I can't remember the winner, but it was something like 'new toaster' or 'eyebrow'.
I'm a big boy. Guess I shouldn't be that surprised. I sure didn't mean to offend any of my fellow pipers. New toaster huh? That's pretty funny.
Just might want to be careful here using the p word...it draws those same searchers here if we don't confusticate the machine...just FYI! Rearrange the letters brothas!
My wife went on line to find bedroom furniture and used a search engine. She was flabbergasted at what turned up.
My neighbor was helping his 8 Y/O daughter with a civics project...typed in something like "WhiteHouse.com and ended up on a very explicit p**n site. Try explaining that to an 8 year old!
Was she looking for one nightstand!?!?!
all in good humor gents...
edit* - I should have said "I can see how dangerous that would be if you were doing a search for one nightstand."
actually, that was just bad, but I figure someone needed to laugh
Even worse is myself and my 8 year old daughter was looking on the web for pet shop toys, bad idea. Lucky me I cought the naughtiness before she did, people are stupid, taging those pictures with child oriented keywords. I'd love to knock the suckers block off!
I have no idea how you guys are comming up with these things in your searches for littlest pet shop and furniture. The only wayward thing I get, is a pop up for some nasty web cam action when I click on a certain memember of the forums photos that direct me to his photo account.
