Interesting... I copied that shape, a "barling ball" (get it? hahah) for Jpberg here a long time ago. Funny little pipe, that Barling. And that's a beaut.

    Hi All,

Thanks for sharing Ruffin - that's a grand site. Think in time my "Little Man in the Colonies" might again have to turn his mind to copying that only in a larger size and with a tapered stem!

Note that a Certain Someone couldn't resist showing us his Sobranie Haul again, as if we weren't already jealous enough!

    Best to all

    Gerry

I've never seen a picture of the actual pipe, we took it off an old Barling shape chart, I think. Very cool, Ruff. Wow, Todd, now that I see it, you really did capture it, didn't you?

Here it is, a bit more Italian than the original, but crazy, beautiful grain and typical great mechanics. Almost too pretty to smoke. Sorry for hijacking your thread, Ruff.

I like finepipe.com a lot and I like this place too:

    The Briary

Lots of pipes to drool over at both places. Ruff, they have a lot of Wiley pipe inventory as well. Not that you are a fan or anything...

Those sites caused some very enjoyable pipe envy. Thanks for sharing them, Ruff!

Sas, that "Barling Ball" of yours appears flawless! Seems like that would be one of the more difficult shapes to get right and you nailed it!
