Pipe quality ... am I doing okay?

    Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice.

    I just received one of those pipes I ordered (the all black one in the second picture). This thing is huge, it's as long as my forearm. Much bigger than what it looks in the picture. Going to be interesting... :cool:

    This is usually a controversial topic with the high enders vs the low enders. I think you can get an excellent smoker in any price range, but the chances greatly improve as you move up to some degree. There is a point of diminishing return, where you are paying for aesthetics, rather than smoking quality. Nowadays, with inflated prices, I think you can get the very best in the $250-$300 price range, and beyond that are paying for name or appearance.
