    Hello all,

I've got a friend who's Dad owned these pipes and I've dated them to the late 30's to mid 40's; however I'm not sure what they're valued at. I'm in the $130-$150 range, but I'm no expert by far.

    Could any of you help?

Any help with specific info or price appraisals would be greatly appreciated.

    I wouldn't know a pre-Republic
Pete if it smacked me in the bonce.
How can you tell if it's pre-Republic?

It's against the rules to appraise pipes here.

But I don't think it's against the rules to speculate.
I speculate that your estimate is a tad high or a "good day" Ebay price (*though you might just get it).
Some pre-republic Peterson's go for half that. Some for a whole lot more.

Best bet is to do an eBay sold listings search for the year and model number. Some sell cheap, others don't. If the right guy wants one a lot, you could get some decent money for them

Ouch! I didn't know that. I guess I'd better brush up on the forum rules and policies. My apologies.
