I got into pipe smoking during my first year at university. One of my friends was interested then, and I got him a Blakemar aristocrat to get the ball rolling. He then bought himself a nice Savinelli 614 Roma lucite.

His interest decreased and he smoked very rarely... until last Friday....

buistd came over for another visit. It's always very pleasant to have him over, and time seems to fly when we share a smoke. I decided that it was a good time to open the samples Spill sent me a while back. Suddenly my housemate leaves the room and returns with his savinelli. We all sat in the living room smoking C&D pirate kake. He liked it so much that he has been asking for latakia blends to smoke... now enjoying a bowl of Larry's blend.

So thanks to Spill's samples and buistd's visit, we 've got another pipe smoker back on track.

Can you imagine how Doug feels? Everyone his age is on oxygen and can't light up for fear of blowing themselves and half the neighborhood up. :csmile:

I think Doug has me on ignore. Can't imagine why. I mean how am I supposed to learn how to be a Master PITA when my mentor won't teach me? So very frustrating.
