A little while ago I received a message in my inbox.

    It read:
    To which I replied:
    I received no response.
I have a couple exams this week, and to be honest I'm kind of stressed out.

Well, I just came home from classes, and found waiting for me at my apartment a small package. It was from a business, too, not a residence, but I didn't recall ordering anything.

I opened it and included was a brand new brushed chrome zippo pipe lighter and a gift receipt. Surely, the gift receipt seemed to indicate that it was from Imnottellingyasohedoesn'tgetafloodedinboxlookingforhandouts (what a name, he must be of foreign birth! :))

I'm floored by this. What I thought was a potential trade of some of my tobacco for maybe an old, underappreciated zippo which had probably just gone nowhere....well...it turned out to be a gift for a brand new, shiny, never-before-filled zippo. I don't know what to say! The generosity of the members here constantly shocks me!

Worst thing is the return address is a business....not his address...so I can't just send a surprise back :shead:

You guys are good people! I'm hoping he responds to my PM with an address and an idea of what kind of tobacco he may like :)

Cool story Nesta! I've experienced the generosity of many of our members as well, and try to pay it forward when I can. :bing:

This lighter rocks...haven't used anything else since I opened the package...now I remember why I like the zippos so well!

It's a shame we're spread out all over the world. Imagine the world's problems we could solve sitting around smoking our pipes!!!!

I disagree, because we'd inevitably start talking politics and/or religion...and...well, I think it's pretty great that we (mostly) avoid that stuff here, because it's nice that we can get along :p:

Pretty sure it would be mostly fart jokes and talking about nothing and enjoying it. Along with tons of tobacco changing hands.

Don't forget women! And whiskey! (Or better still, when women drink whiskey!) Coupled with a few good fart jokes, who needs to talk about anything else?
And these guys do rock! Great bunch of fellers here.

How about whiskey drinking, pipe smoking, fart joke telling women!

I have found much goodness here and huge generosity. I've been smoking gifts for well over a month. My own health and the illness of Doggy number one would of had me back on reservation cigarettes for financial reasons if not for some very generous PSF members. And i have learned a heck of a lot of things since I've been around. Big plus for us
