I like to read while smoking... Currently reading Mary Shelleys Frankenstein and Ayn Rands Anthem for the 100th time. Anyone have a good read they'd like to share?

Stienbeck fan myself, in fact I got a couple more for Christmas that I can't wait to start. Currently, I'm slogging through the last 150 pages of an enormous biography of "Stonewall" Jackson. I feel kinda bad, but I got so many new books I want to start that I'm pretty anxious for ol' Jackson's troops to hurry up and shoot him already so that I can be done with it.

At the moment I'm reading "The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared". Really funny story.

Reading Ted Gioia's The Jazz Standards: A Guide to the Repertoire. It's a series of one-to-three page write-ups on a lot of the most popular jazz songs. I enjoy it because I can flip around and just read the ones I want.

I believe that there's a section of the forum dedicated to this exact topic. It's down towards the bottom of the forum list.

It's a little controversial in theory. But a very good read thus far. It may be a little rough on ones religious constitution if youre a hardcore theist.

I consider myself a devout christian. However I am highly open for exploring ideas, theories, etc. I'm definitely not your typical religious nut! hah!

Well Tom Harpur is an ordained Roman Catholic Priest. I do believe he's been researching the material for a long time. You may or may not appreciate his writings.

Right now I've been trying to get into Keith Richard's Life. I also have some Warhammer fantasy going. The second Gotrek and Felix omnibus. Also reading Annie Dillard's Pilgrim at Tinker Creek - a bit mind blowing at times in a "I've never thought like that" kind of way.
