I won a battered old African Meerschaum on Ebay and the saddle stem is pretty well chewed and makes the idea of smoking it not very appealing. Does anyone know where I might be able to get one that will fit? It look sa pretty standard stem to me.

Is it just a regular push-in type stem like on most briars? If so it would be very easy to fit a new one.

You can buy them from PME but you will need to fit it to the pipe.

Most of those are sold by the dozen but they do have some acrylic stems they sell individually.

Hi and Glad you got fixed up!

That to me is one of the advantages of an African meer - the stem fittings are much more robust than the Delrin horrors as well as the pipes being that bit tougher.

    Happy smoking when its fixed,

    Gerry
