    Hi everyone,

2 weeks ago I won this Sasieni Canadian and today it came in. Lucky for me my wife was home to sign for the package or els I would of had to wait a few days. The pipe in a nice dark oily colour and the rustication is of a lined pattern. Ive never seen a rustication like this before.

Ive been clenching it for a few minutes now and I can say that it is light weight but it also feels good in the hand. This is a Dovercourt Canadian meaning that it is just a bit over 7 inches, the longuest of Canadians from Sasieni. This one also has a nice silver band. I love my silver bands on my pipes :)
I think it adds a bit of class. and then on the stem theres 4 white blue-ish dots.

Now i have to write the seller to try and figure out what was smoked in this cause the smell from the bowl and while puffing is just fantastic :)

The smaller Canadian (about a light group 3) is reserved for VA, especially stuff like 5100 or cpcc.
The other Canadian is a beast (Mountbatten) and one of my best smokers. Usually English/Lats for that one.

you have a MountBatten Canadian pipe? he sent thousands of Canadians to their death in a test raid of Dieppe beach. Funny name for a pipe specially a Canadian shape.

Not really. This shape seems to allow some things to become a little more prominent but not to the point that I'd say there's a go to combination. I scrapped my notes a while back since I found that I was doing more analysing than enjoying. All the rest of my pipes are bents but being a Canadian I had to have at least one Canadian shaped pipe.
Your new pipe's longer shank is what caught my eye and whatever differences there are due to this shape should be even more pronounced. Yes, the silver band on your pipe does look good.

A little off topic, but how do you enjoy the Sherlock Holmes range? I like the looks and am thinking of putting them on my PAD list.

Very nice Canadian by the way!
