Rattray's Dark Fragrant - it is that. Perique and stoved virginia gone black as tar, this stuff looks a little frightening. In fact, it smells more like a dessert than tobacco in the big 100g tin. It is beautifully, lightly, pungent. OK - stoved virginia isn't as scary as it looks. The tang is gone, the flavor of hay is gone but a mild hint of sweet lemon barely under a heavy top note of perique are sure there. This tobacco smokes mild, gentle and light with an aftertaste of perique that can't be missed. It's almost too light considering it's so dark, if you know what I mean.
