Well the wife and kid went to lunch leaving me and hour to myself... So I started a new project.
Needs some sanding work and some lashings, but other than that it's going to look good a shelf somewhere. [IMG]

Is that a pipe, tamper, or both?

Im guessing at both, but I don't think the pipe is a smoker, just a shelf display

It's a shelp piece, but the tamper just needs to be capped and I'm shipping it out to Coastie.

This thread brings back some memories! When I was a kid we used to make our own corn cob pipes with bamboo stems, we used them to smoke "rabbit tobacco", a wild weed that grows around here, pretty harsh stuff, but we didn't know any better, it used to be almost a tradition, passed from generation to generation. I bet nobody smokes rabbit tobacco anymore. :( I think I'll harvest some this fall, and send out samples, if anybody's brave enough to give it a try!

Is it as harsh as corn silk? Not that I ever tried it, *cough**cough*.
