They had a software failure this morning that created false inventory values on the site. Sorry.

I guess it's better than their site being hacked.......or did they?

They had some sort of "hack job" last summer didn't they?

I'm pretty sure it's just temporarily. Their site says that they're updating their site.

Though if you are on their email list, you can backdoor your way into the site. Interesting.

We experienced a server glitch that updated our site with a whole lot of product that we don't actually have in stock. We are currently updating our site with an accurate copy of our stock.

If you are on our email list, and get through our site through the back door, and order 10lbs of FVF and 10lbs of Stonehaven you will get a very sad email from me. :(

If it wasn't for this site I would have ordered at least one pipe today. There list of estate pipes were pretty impressive. And some pretty amazing prices to boot.

You chose a very alarming title for this thread, Moo. For about ten seconds I thought the beginning of the end was finally upon us.

and they're still "off-line". Are they open for business? or in a grand massive inventory count on all things smokingpipes.com ? Bummer about the server glitch. I guess a system restore to the latest update prior to server intervention wouldn't work..............that's gotta be very frustrating and amounts to loss of business.

I still put a lot of faith in SP. It's not
like I don't have any other tobies to
smoke. (apologies to Ted for using
    "tobies" ;) )

I was about to put in an order last night, then noticed that previously out of stock cigars and tobacco were now "in-stock". I held off and then ordered when the site was back in proper form.

The recovery from a falter indicates the robustness of the system, all problems rolled back as if it was only a mere hiccup.

We're back online now. Thanks for the patience, fellas. It's time like these that I'm glad we're all pipe smokers and not high-strung, pushy zombie consumerists.
