I sold a pipe to BradNTX. Just an old MM corncob out of the collection of 47 mostly cobs that I bought on ebay. This one was unsmoked and had a square shank and a silver colored band. It was a pretty nice pipe but not the Mona Lisa.

Here's what the rascal sent along with the check. A very nice pocket knife and some M.B. Scottish Mixture Flake which I'd never smoked:

    Thanks, Brad!

Yes, I classed the picture up with my meer instead of one of my every day cobs. Figured the knife deserved an "upgrade".

Sounds about par for the course when it comes to PSF'ers generosity around here.

    Nice...;)

It's getting so bad around here you can't even trade a tin with someone without getting something extra. A years supply of pipe cleaners, a new cob, 85 bagged samples,, a couple of used meers...........etc etc.

The way I see it, Bob sent me a great cob that I can't just go buy anywhere. You have to hunt those vintage cobs up, and to find an unsmoked one is a real find. Large bowl, unique shape not made any longer, and unsmoked to boot.

I like to balance things out by shorting/not sending my end of trades. That's the yin for Brad's yang, and the universe's harmony is unaffected due to my careful balancing out of all this generosity.

    You're welcome.

I'm getting cob PAD again. Thanks, Brad.

That was a classy move with the knife. Well done.

I've gotten into the habbit of sending Bacci samples with any pipe I trade or sell.
The recipient needs something good to smoke with their "new to them" pipe.
