I really like Shortcut to Mushrooms and Frog Morton on the Town for their sweetness. I've tried some other English blends and I don't like em strong. I like the sweetness mixed with the smokey. Any other blends you would recommend to someone who like those 2 blends?

I recently tried two friends english chocolate. It isn't mild but it does have a little sweetness to it. I like it very much.

That sounds really good actually. I could see a nice dark chocolate flavor complementing Lat very well. Like Dark Chocolate and Guinness! :)

My personal favorite of this type (or at least a sweet Latakia) is Hermit's Captain Earle's English Atmosphere. Easily as sweet as the sweetest Virginia, but with all that good Latakia smoky campfire thing going on.

I found Northwoods to be pretty sweet if I am remembering it right. It has been awhile. I am smoking some GL Pease Meridian right now and it has a little sweetness going on. Neither of those two will be as sweet as the two you named but they might still be of interest to you.

Perfection by Samuel Gawith might be your treat, as long as you don't get any rash from vanilla.

When you say that you don't like them strong, do you mean nicotine strong, or is there a particular spice, or blending component that doesn't agree with you?

    I second the English Chocolate.

One I'm smoking now that is sweet but with no added casing is McClellands Legends. It's sweet in the traditional sense, through virginias and orientals, but still has some nice smokiness.

I find RRR is nice and sweet. My go-to
    English/Oriental blend.

Ain't Sillem's Black an aromatic with Latakia? I haven't had any, but I think I've heard this.

C&D Murphy's Mistake, if you can find a tin. Mildly sweet, mildly smoky, smooth and relaxing.
Unfortunately, it's as the name suggests -- a blending mistake. I met the C&D blender at the Chicago Show that "made" this blend. It was a good story, and as always, the folks at C&D told it with a fine sense of humor.

Mac Baren's The Solent Mixture is a Sweet (very lightly cased) Mostly Virginia mix with a decent dose of Latakia that starts to shine more and more as it gets some air in the tin. Very good stuff!
