I saw a thread in the forum on sub-$75 pipes, and thought, why not... here's a chance to find out something new about pipe shapes. See, I read this blog post which talk about how the chamber shape can impact the taste of a tobacco. And I realized that almost all of my pipes are billiards... so I thought, why not try something new (tomato/prince) and see if there really is a difference! So I picked up two Italians and hope to have them in operation before the end of the week...

P.S. if I do end up enjoying these shapes, well then, I guess I'll end up having some custom-mades pipes in the same fashion :bing:

I have a very similar Brebbia in the 301 shape (it's the one in my avatar pic currently). Wonderful pipe! I'm sure yours will smoke very well, Dondi!

I'm liking that Brebbia, Dondi. I tend to not care for Italian pipes, but that one is nice!

Did you dedicate yours to any particular blend or genre?

Italianz R NICE and the two you're pickin' up should give you a very good variety of smokin' pleasure. I found with shallow bowlz esp the pot shape it's very important to get a nice char before you rockout. ;)

    Enjoy

It's what I use for FM: OTT, McClelland 5110, and similar medium-strength English blends.

I've got the same 301 too. Mine is dedicated to Va's so I would say its a versatile pipe. Dondi you'll find what works for you I'm sure :thumbsu:

    Yes! Another with Italian PAD!
I like the Brebbia over the Sav.
Hope you enjoy them both, Dondi!

I have a 315 also in the "Champagne" stylee and the wide bowl smokes very well. It's an elegant shape and very nice to hold - Bigger than it looks in the pics! Yours looks really splendid.
