Once again my favorite junktique shop comes through. There is one shop I stop by pretty frequently and the owner has started setting the pipes he gets in aside for me :)

Left side yello bole marked honey cured briar
Right side an unmarked briar with a corn cob liner
middle top to bottom a custombuilt with a stem that fits but is pretty obviously from a different pipe, a briarworks bear head that I wasnt to thrilled with until I smoked it, a cool metal pipe that I need to browse smoking metals to I.D., lastly an RBC meer from the early 1900s in fantastic shape.

    Not bad for 40 bucks.

You know at some point you would think that you would have at least heard of everything, maybe not seen everything but at least heard of...I've never seen or heard of, a briar with a corn cob liner.

Nice score, that meer looks awsome.

:ohyh: That's a great haul for $40. Most of the pipes I see in my local antique stores are completely clapped out. That's probably a good thing. If that weren't the case, I'd have 40+ pipes by now (as it is...I'm around 25).

I'll give you your money back, for that RBC alone! I *collect* those old pipes...RBC, CPF, GFB etc from the 20s and 30s. That one is sweet.
