OK, an update on my Kaywoodie Saxon. I took it to work with me today and alternated it with a cob. As usual I was burning CH in them. My tongue did not fall off. My cobs and meers did not run away from home. The sky did not fall. Every bowl smoked to the bottom, only ash, no dottle, just some fine smoking. The experence with this pipe will not turn my head from my first loves, cobs and meers. My advice, if budget or common sense dictates an inexpensive pipe, let not your heart be troubled. You can get yourself a right fine smoking KW at a very reasonable price. In the past have had KW's with stingers. Do not and did not like them. However the Saxonss a s noted have a regular push/pull tenon, whjch is my preferred connection.
