Unknown Hoyo my dad gave me. Gonna try to guess what it is throughout the smoke. I will let you all know when I do.

The JJM is a great smoke. I bought 2 boxes a couple of years ago, and nestled them tight into the bottom drawer of the humi for a long nap.

My early days were on a farm in southeastern Ohio; Appalachian blood runs strong in this one.

Went over to a friends house for a couple stogies (*my treat).
First I had an Oliva V, he had a CAO L'Ann. Cameroon.
Then I had an OpusX (Still smoking it) and he had an Oliva V.

    Good day.

That VR was a very very tasty smoke, but it suffered from pretty serious construction issues. It went out 3 times mid-puff (not operator error), and towards the end, was impossible to smoke without frustration. Since wading back into cigars a couple months ago, I've probably had a couple dozen CC's. ONE burned without issue. One.

My last few days of cigars.

A 7 year old LFD. Looks rough but smoked a lot better than it looks.

Finally got around to smoking this cigar after a friend sent it to me a long time ago. Just couldn't put a match to it but finally said F it.

Hard to say as I've purchased them from a couple of sources, and been given several others.
My humidor (a coolidor actually) is at the correct temp and humidity.

    damn, that sucks.

maybe investigate your sources to make sure you are being sold authentic cigars? Counterfeiting cubans is a huge industry and quality control is huge on legitimate CC's...it is enforced both by the company and the government.

or you just have terrible luck and I would stay away from casinos:p:

My main source is good enough for Clint and the rest of the Monterey/Carmel/Pebble Beach elite (*I am a lowly renter, don't know why they even let me in the club).

I went through a lot of CC's in the early 90's (also genuine) and swore them off for inconsistency and shoddy construction (*particularly at the price-line). Rumor has it that the 90's were widely regarded as a low-point for Cuban consistency. Reviews and online "experts" report that CC's have gotten much better since then, so I decided to revisit them. Unfortunately, my growing dataset indicates that the problems continue.

The Cuban Cult (and the PR machine) will never concede my point.
