Alec Bradley Prensado "Damn, that was a nice cigar"
Dang you WJ... I have one in my humidor that I was "saving" (for what I can't seem to remember)....
A few from the past few days, there were more just never took pics
Had an Avo Heritage earlier. I've had a few of these now, various vitolas.... meh. Nothing wrong with it, just always left wanting something deeper.
Tatuaje Little Boris......
HDM Double Corona. That was a loooooong smoke!
Some are staying, some are travelling.
LOVE Every single one of those!
dessert after a nice dinner I prepared for myself
undergoing oral surgery next friday, smoking won't be happening much for a week or two after
Like the dinner, not so the surgery...
Had a Brickhouse last night, first time trying one. It was decent, but the flavor was a little flat, no punch in the finish and I couldn't get it to burn evenly at all. Needless to say, I wont be buying brickhouses any time soon. They have a huge marketing effort going in this area too. Guess the sticks don't sell themselves.
I didn't like them either, much of the same reasons you didn't.
Ditto on the Brickhouse. I bought one, and did NOT enjoy it. They're highly rated, too, so it's not purely marketing...perhaps the quality control took a nosedive or something by the time I tried one....it was rolled too tightly, wouldn't burn well at all, didn't draw well at all, and what flavor was there wasn't all that good to begin with. I have no intentions of ever smoking another unless it's a freebie, because it's priced the same as a lot of cigars I enjoy far more.
I just came in from a maduro wrapped Excalibur in a corona size. Pretty nice, but the wind was messing with my burn
Glad I didnt pay for this one for sure.
I think I paid 2 dollars for mine. The owner of the shop was trying to get rid of em haha.
Same experience here with Brickhouse. Unfortunate, the first one I had was excellent. Next two were like different sticks, but the common thread was poor construction/burn issues. Local B&M owner confided in me that they had the same experience and have been battling with producer over inventory that won't sell because buyers are turned off. Too bad, cause I really enjoyed that first one and the pricepoint was nice.
I have a few friends that LOVE brickhouse. Had one myself and didn't like it at all. No idea what makes people like them. Our local shop quit carrying them. Probably same issue. For $5 at a B&M not sure I would expect more, but it didn't deliver anything I would really pay $5 for.
Friends don't let friends smoke ACID.
Personally I like Acid cigars. I actually would prefer them to aromatic pipe tobacco, if they weren't so darn expensive
I don't buy them except on rare occasions because I don't want to keep them in my humidor full of traditional cigars, so I only want to buy them if I'm about to light it up soon enough to just store it in a baggie....but then I don't like paying out the @$$ for them at the B&M......so I just rarely get them
