Well, to me at least, that combination makes sense.
FINALLY was able to spend some money on 1864! Taxes in NY are ridiculous! But for the ride to work this morning and any pipe I have thereafter it will be W.O. Larsen 1864!

Wilderness in a blasted billiard
Germains Rich Dark Flake in a MM CG, fast becoming my regular morning combo since the weather picked up, the usual French ground and Steve Earle in the background .

PA in a cob this morning.
Actually, yes. If Grousemoor ever works, it works in a cob. If a cob ever works, it works with Grousemoor.
I've had pretty good success with a cob and certain OTC's. Meers tend to provide the unvarnished truth which isn't placing some OTC's in their best possible light. A cob "varnishes" that truth (pun intended) and makes them perform better.
Peterson's Sunset Breeze in a small meerschaum. -2C, but I'm trying to think warm and sunny.
I'm thinking Field & Stream should be up next. You don't want to jump right into Holiday.
H&H in this..
CH in a MM egg
CBR in a DG Omega.
I've found that Holiday produces better rosebush growth and health than Field & Stream, and it doesn't matter if it's dumped from a 1/10th smoked pipebowl or straight from the tin. I do prefer straight from the tin for my own health but the roses don't seem to have a preference.
I've loaded up my MacArthur for the first time ever with some UF and topped it up with a combination of MacBaren Vanilla Creme and the last bit of GAF
I almost bid on a full sealed tub of Holiday Excursion... that bad huh?

Uhle's #00 in a Cellini slightly bent Billiard with my morning black coffee. This #00 thing is gonna get monotonous, I can see that already!
