Two firsts tonight, smoking my first bowl in a newly acquired no name sandblasted pipe from London, England which I have dubbed my "poor man's Dunhill" and in it I smoked my first bowl of a tobacco sample I feel very privileged to have, it a fresh sample of the original Balkan Sobranie from the late 60's, what a wonderfully smooth and mellow smoke...

:beyes: First ever? Blimey! I thought for sure
you'd already have a pound of this in the
    cellar.

Uni Flake in a Tsuge Tokyo. Rarely smoke
my other pipes any more. Maybe I'll trade
some off for Falcons or toby. :msty:

I'm not gonna lie. All my well made plans, errands and ideas where put to the test today. I did absolutely nothing. It started with Carter Hall in my MM cob. Its now ending with Carter Hall in my Savinelli.

The least productive day this year so far? Possibly.
The most relaxing and enjoyable? Definitely.

The wait is over, just received my first ever McClellands, Blackwoods and St James'Woods. Just about to fill a recently bought MM General with some Blackwoods, after a little examination that is, thats the tobacco I'm talking about, not me.

That's the new tin though, isn't it? Man, I'm halfway surprised that's smokable after 50 years, but I'm still jealous.

Dunhill Flake in my Northern Briars banker. Amazing how long dwaugh's sample has lasted me (with a bit of restraint) and amazing that I feel like smoking despite being a bit ill, even though I didn't want coffee or breakfast. And I swear the smoke has perked me up a bit, rather than upsetting my stomach. The wonders of pipe smoking!
