That's a new one, right? How's that Pete working out for you?
Nahh I've had my Petersons for a lil while..I just think my Grabows and cobs smoke better most of the time lol
FVF in a Canadian Pete. Gotta say, although this stuff does live up to the hype, after one bowl it won't replace Dunhill Flake or Bull's Eye as my favorite virginias. Great stuff tho
PA in a Scandia pipe. Breaking it in... I think this one's gonna be a great smoker!
Smoking Carter Hall in my Peterson Aran while watching BBC's Sherlock.
Nice! That reminds me, my B&M guy have me a sample of Black Shag today. Gonna have to give it a try now.
That Last bowl was so good , Ima try it again....CBG ina Peterson Rocky Donegal 106
Lane 1-Q in a Pete 314
FVF in a Pete system
ERR in a clay. I've had this before and don't recall it being memorable. This bowl, however...wowza! Maybe it's the pipe, but man! this stuff is good! If it was still around, I could see me happily squirreling this'n away.
Thanks, dp! (Dang, first Condor, then Capstan...now this. Any other hard to get blends you'd like to torture me with, jerk? ...)
Just finished SG Full VA Flake in an Invicta 'Dublin'. Gorgeous stuff - this is my first tin of it, and I'm very glad I've discovered it. It's a new regular - smooth, creamy, butterscotchy, slightly spicy.
Boswell's Northwoods in a Pete system 314.
SWR in a Savinelli Author.
Montecristo Edmundo 2004 cigar. Got my pipes today so I will keep reading up and buy a small bit of tobacco at the shop here. Get ready to light it up in the next few days.
Dunhill Flake in a little Tinderbox zulu
Third bowl of the day but first cob; "Best Burley" in a Bent Spool. Thanks again Aristocob!
Former's Bird's Eye Flake, in the Joh's bulldog. Every few months I give it another try...and...every few months I wonder why I haven't pitched it yet. The most boring tobacco I've ever smoked - except perhaps for a "Basic" or "Doral" cigarette.
At least this stuff is cheap.....ish....
Edit: I don't mean to imply that this tobacco is bad, or an offense to my sensibilities...it's just not in any way good. It's smokable, even if it bites a little. But overall, flavors of hay and earth, with little sweetness and no richness, nothing to keep me interested. It's very much like a decent quality cigarette (not even a "luxury" cigarette).
I'll smoke the rest of it.....eventually. It would be better with a little burley, or just a little topping. Or if it was a different blend.
Painter Hills in the IMP meerschaum that I got this afternoon. Everything still tastes like bruschetta, hmm.
HotW in a Brebbia billiard. They always play so nice together.
Condor Long Cut - Santambrogio.
