Ten Russians in a Squatch.
Sextant in a Nording Great Dane.
Billy Budd in a Pete 86.
Walnut in a cob.....again.
SG Chocolate flake in a Guildhall.
C&D night train ina DrG Omega
Wonderful tobacco. I will spend quite a bit of time with this one for the next few weeks.
PS LBF in a Paykoc Skull Meer.
MacB Vanilla Cream flake in a Dr. Grabow Full Bent.
I'm finding out that my bent pipes seem to work best for flakes.
Hearth & Home - Lakeland Brickle Fortissimo....in the Kapet. Yep, it's a good smoker now, it's official. And I wanted a third "Lakeland" pipe, so, the point of (almost) no return. I forgot how good this blend is, though! Diggin it
This morning was Irish oak in a cob. this afternoon was Sutliff great outdoors in a cob. little while ago was great outdoors in a stanwell bent acorn... what next?
4noggins Weybridge in my Peterson Aran 80s
Right after work a little bowl of FVF in a new Pete 264 I'm trying to break in just with Va flakes. Second bowl of the night was Ten Russians in a Pete 53 dedicated to Lat blends that was a birthday gift last month. Cake is finally building a little in there.
Now it's back to work on that 264 with some PS LBF
University Flake cradling Prairie Wind in the new meerschaum.
Squadron Leader in my Savinelli Bulldog KS with a Brooklyn Brewery 55 Pennant Ale.
If you are interested in a mild aromatic I tried Peterson's Nutty Cut in a number of different pipes and was not very impressed. Tried it in a 264 and that tobacco really came in to it's own. Another one that shines through in that shape is PS English Oriental Supreme.
Peter Stokkebye's B&B in a Fortnum's Windward, mmmkay...
Kendal Kentucky with a Black XX coin in a meer.
H&H Larrys blend in a DrG author
Thanks for the recommendations, haven't tried any of those three. On the TAD list they go. So far I had only tried FVF in the 264 and wasn't really blown away. LBF is great in it so far. I'll try switching things around a bit tomorrow.
Edit: by the way, what finish is your 264 in? Mine is Killarney which is really stunning, but I think the rim is going to look like crap soon. After three small bowls it's fading already on the shank side.
